David Chittick
David Chittick grew up in the Northern N.S.W. town of Murwillumbah, where even as a child he had aspirations of becoming a film and television historian.

In 1992, he completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He has been involved in the entertainment industry as a singer and radio announcer.

In 2007 he was diagnosed with secondary thyroid cancer, which threatened to ruin his voice. A long period of recuperation allowed him to focus on a project that had been in the back of his mind for many years: compiling his vast knowledge of Australian television history in the form of a book.
The Heart of Australian Television is his first published work.

David will be donating a portion of the proceeds from each sale of the book to The Cancer Council and Animals Australia.
